Medical Electronic Systems (MES) has launched two new products to support its full range of semen analysis solutions. The company announced the global release of QwikCheck™ Pre-Stained Morphology Slides and the QwikCheck™ Beads Precision and Linearity Kit. Both products are now available and can be ordered directly from MES.
The QwikCheck™ Pre-Stained Morphology Slides simplify the process of sperm morphology testing. Each slide comes with a pre-applied dry stain that activates on contact with the sperm sample. These slides are compatible with both manual microscopy and MES’s automated SQA-VISION analyzers.
The slides help identify normal sperm cells and distinguish them from those with abnormalities in the head, midpiece, or tail. They also assist in spotting white blood cells and pinhead sperm. This allows for faster and more accurate sperm analysis in clinical settings.
The QwikCheck™ Beads Precision and Linearity Kit is intended for routine performance checks of MES’s automated analyzers, including the SQA-V and SQA-VISION systems. The kit is used twice a year to ensure the devices meet key testing standards such as linearity, precision, and concentration accuracy.
These quality checks follow the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines. CLIA regulations require labs conducting moderate to high complexity tests to perform regular validation procedures. MES’s new kit helps labs meet those standards more easily and reliably.
With these two additions, MES aims to streamline sperm testing and improve diagnostic accuracy in fertility and reproductive health labs worldwide.
