Kyle Gordy, a prolific sperm donor, is on the verge of a remarkable milestone—he will soon have fathered 101 children in various countries around the world.
While most sperm donations are done through medical procedures such as insemination or IVF, Gordy’s approach is quite different. As a self-proclaimed “super-hobbyist,” he runs the website bepregnantnow.com, where women or couples seeking his sperm can contact him directly. When possible, he arranges to meet them in person to facilitate the donation process.
In an interview on Lunchtime Live, Gordy revealed that he has already fathered 87 children that he knows of, with an additional 14 on the way. “In about seven or eight months, I should have around 101 children,” he shared. His donation methods typically involve using a cup and syringe, though he estimates that around 20% of his donations are made through sexual intercourse.
Gordy explained that his journey into sperm donation began when he was unsure about his own chances of fatherhood. “When I was younger, I wasn’t sure if I’d have kids of my own. I was dating, but things just weren’t working out. Then, a friend of mine and her wife wanted a child, and I decided to help them,” he recalled.
The first donation took place when the couple, armed with a positive ovulation test, met Gordy. The sperm was delivered to them in the back of a car, and within two weeks, they learned that the woman was pregnant. That first child is now 10 years old, and the couple later had a second child, also fathered by Gordy.
Gordy said it feels fulfilling to know he has helped numerous people achieve their dream of starting a family. “A lot of people, particularly same-sex couples, initially consider using a sperm bank, but many feel uncomfortable because they don’t get to meet the donor in person,” he noted. “Sperm banks often focus on sperm quality over appearance, which can leave women dissatisfied. They prefer that I am someone they can meet, get to know, and feel comfortable with.”
His involvement with the children he fathers ranges from no contact at all to maintaining friendships with the mothers. Gordy emphasizes that he does not receive any financial compensation for his donations; for him, it is simply a “super hobby” rather than a business venture.
As Gordy prepares to welcome his 101st child, his unconventional approach to sperm donation continues to spark discussion and curiosity around the globe.
