CG Insurance has teamed up with CariGenetics to offer a new wellness genetic testing service for its members. This service is part of the Zest Wellness Biometric Screening programme, aimed at promoting healthier lifestyle choices.
According to a spokesperson, the initiative provides personalized insights to help individuals make informed decisions about nutrition and fitness. The service includes a confidential genetic test administered by CariGenetics, focusing on lifestyle-related markers such as nutrient metabolism, exercise recovery, muscle composition, and optimal training methods.
Participants receive a detailed report with tailored recommendations based on their genetic profile. Additionally, the program offers access to online resources and live workshops hosted by Certified Health & Wellness Coach Alex Dill, who helps participants understand and apply their results.
Naz Farrow, CEO of Coralisle Group Ltd., emphasized that genetic testing is the next step in preventative care. “This partnership with CariGenetics expands our ability to offer members science-backed tools that are personalized and empowering,” Farrow said. “It reflects CG’s commitment to providing smarter, more tailored health solutions.”
Early participants, such as CG member Anthonette Simons, have shared positive feedback about the service. Simons called the experience “eye-opening,” stating, “I’ve learned valuable insights about my health and well-being. Knowing my genetic predispositions motivates me to make certain changes. I feel better physically, and now I can make adjustments that will improve my overall health.”
CariGenetics, a Bermuda-based research and testing company, is focused on making precision wellness more accessible across the Caribbean through education and evidence-based testing. The company is also leading the Caribbean Genome Programme, an initiative to collect genetic data from 100,000 Caribbean people to ensure better representation in global medical research.
All data collected through the wellness genetic testing service is securely stored and remains strictly confidential. The program focuses exclusively on nutrition and fitness and does not screen for diseases or medical conditions.
